Impressive 3D videos starring popular animals at the zoo including polar bears diving into the water and cute penguins.
Experience and enjoy the rich expressions and actions of the animals through Sony’s 3D, high definition video of the interactive viewing facilities that Asahiyama Zoo is famous for.
Due to popular demand, 3D videos of the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium will continue to be shown.

Full of Excitement! Science Theater

The Sony ExplorScience “Science Theater” shows original science programs in impressive 3D and high definition video. Enjoy the beautiful images and watch as experiments are performed to solve various scientific mysteries.

[At the top and bottom of every hour]: [3D] Asahiyama Zoo in high definition, or [3D] Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium; An introduction to the animals at Asahiyama Zoo and the fish at Churaumi Aquarium in exciting 3D video.

[Every hour at 8 minutes and 38 minutes past the hour]: [3D] Beach Soccer (FIFA approved); 3D video of the Beach Soccer World Cup supported by Sony.
[Every hour at 12 minutes and 42 minutes past the hour]: [HD]The Science Agent Detective; 15 minute programs that unveil the mysteries of science.
[Every hour at 28 minutes and 58 minutes past the hour]: “Aha! Picture Lab”; Everyone takes part in solving the Aha! Picture.

Information & Entertainment Zone

Visitors are welcomed with a video based on concepts such as “light,” “sound,” and “entertainment.” There is also an introduction of the latest applications researched and developed at Sony.

Theater & Workshop Zone

Original science programs are broadcast in 3D and high definition. The “Yes or No? Survival Quiz” held on weekends are filled with questions that are familiar but still make you think! Participation is open to all and is fun for the whole family. There is also a workshop (reservations required) held once a month.

Sound Zone

This zone is based on the theme of sound. Visitors can add effects to their own voices, listen to a wide variety of sounds, and learn about how sounds are transmitted to other people.

Light [Imaging] Zone

This zone is based on the theme of light. Visitors can experience the mysteries of our sense of sight including afterimages and visual experiences that utilize image recognition technology. An exciting experience for both mind and body.
